Responsibilities for Technical Content Writer
- Messaging and positioning – Obtain a deep understanding of our services and expertise, to translate complex information into simple, polished, and engaging content
- Technical Content Development – Conceptualize and craft educational product and solution content for a variety of platforms such as websites, blogs, social media, videos, infographics, etc
- Sales enablement – Craft high-value sales collaterals like presentations, case studies, whitepapers, ebooks, email marketing
- Market, customer, and competitive analysis – Be the authority on the customer, the industry trends, and the other industry players
- Demand generation – Coordinate and implement strategies to drive awareness and demand
- Research, outline, write, and edit new and existing content, and develop innovative approaches for improvement & presentation
- Independently gather information from subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop, organize, and write well-researched content for publication online and in print
- Develop content in alternative media forms for maximum usability, with a consistent and cohesive voice across all documentation
- Follow an editorial calendar, collaborating with other members of the content production team to ensure timely delivery of materials
- Monitor and analyze the performance of key performance indicators (KPIs) to offer suggestions for improvement
- Use search engine optimization (SEO) strategies in writing to maximize the online visibility of a website in search results
Qualifications for Technical Content Writer
- Proven record of excellent writing demonstrated in a professional portfolio
- An impeccable grasp of the English language, including idioms and current trends in slang and expressions
- 4 to 5 years of experience in writing technology-related blogs, whitepapers, case studies, presentations, etc
- Familiarity with SDLC, Cloud, DevOps, UI/UX, Data Analytics, AI/ML, etc
- Ability to work independently
- Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to communicate with colleagues, other teams, SMEs
- Ability to work on multiple projects with different objectives simultaneously
- Strict adherence to the style guides of each company and their policies for publication
- Good time management skills, including prioritizing, scheduling, and adapting as necessary
- Proficiency with computers, especially writing programs, such as Google Docs
