Project Coordinator
Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Project Coordinator with 2+ years of experience in managing and supporting software development projects across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of project coordination, stakeholder communication, and hands-on exposure to QA/testing activities along with the ability to understand business/domain requirements. This role requires ownership, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Delivery
- Coordinate and manage project activities across the full lifecycle—from initiation to deployment and closure.
- Create and maintain project plans, timelines, sprint trackers, and status reports.
- Monitor progress, identify risks/issues, and proactively drive resolutions.
- Ensure deliverables meet timelines, scope, and quality expectations.
Stakeholder Management
- Serve as a point of contact between clients, internal teams, and vendors.
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements and translate them into actionable tasks.
- Conduct regular status meetings, prepare MOMs, and ensure follow-ups are completed.
- Provide timely updates to stakeholders on project health and milestones.
Agile & SDLC Execution
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (Development, QA, Design) in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Assist in sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Ensure adherence to SDLC processes, quality standards, and documentation practices.
QA & Quality Assurance Support
- Understand functional requirements and assist in defining acceptance criteria.
- Perform manual testing, test case creation, execution, and defect tracking.
- Collaborate with client teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Validate deliverables before client demos/releases to ensure quality and completeness.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation including BRDs, FRS, test cases, and reports.
- Track metrics such as progress, defects, and performance indicators.
- Ensure all approvals, estimates, and project artifacts are properly documented and stored.
Operational & Ownership Responsibilities
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
- Step in to support project management activities when required.
- Coordinate with vendors/sub-contractors and resolve blockers efficiently.
- Continuously improve processes and contribute to delivery excellence.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in Project Coordination / Project Management (preferably in IT/software projects)
- Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
- Hands-on experience in manual QA/testing and defect management tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla)
- Ability to understand business/domain requirements and translate into technical tasks
- Experience in web and/or mobile application development projects
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- High attention to detail, accountability, and problem-solving mindset
Good to Have
- Exposure to tools like Jira, Confluence, Trello, or Asana
- Basic understanding of APIs, databases, or system integrations
- Experience working with distributed or cross-functional teams
- Understanding of Finance domain and experience with Fintech projects
