Job Description:
The Sr. Quality Analyst is an experienced Manual Tester with a proven track record of testing complex applications. He/She will ensure software quality across a range of IT applications. Responsible for functional testing activities, ensuring applications work as expected, and issues are reported through appropriate channels. You will work closely with project stakeholders, development, and business teams to ensure test scope meets requirements resulting in quality software. The QA will work closely with the key stakeholders, including Technical Architect, Senior developer(s), Project Coordinator, Project Manager, Business Analyst, and Client team to understand business needs and build them into software solutions. The QA may also work closely with other engineering/cross-functional teams to understand resolving technical challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the overall technical roadmap of automation solutions in collaboration with development and QA teams
- Should be able to Establish, build, and maintain test cases very efficiently
- Maintain active relationships with project stakeholders to understand business requirements
- Identify and implement best practices
- Create technical documentation and maintain the knowledge repositories for manual testing
- Adjust quickly to changing priorities and make quick decisions with limited information Requirements
- Create Test Estimates and Schedules
- Identify business processes, conduct risk analysis, and ensure test coverage
- Ensure adherence to processes and standards
- Produce test results, defect reports, test logs, and reports for evidence of testing
- Publish RCA reports and preventive measures
- Report the progress of testing
- Contribute to Revenue savings for clients by suggesting an alternate method
- Ensuring Quality of Deliverables
Qualification and Expected Skill Set:
- BE/B.Tech/MCA or equivalent degree with good academic records
- 4+ years of experience as a Manual QA on mobile apps (Android / iOS), APIs, and web applications
- Strong knowledge of Testing Processes, Techniques, Measures & Metrics.
- Load test cases, track, prioritize, assign, and report on defects and resolution status in JIRA/Azure DevOps, GitLabs, etc.
- Execute functional and performance testing.
- Experience in dealing with multiple teams representing various areas in delivering projects.
- Worked in an Agile/Scrum Testing and Development environment.
- Documented bugs and communicated testing issues to the team.
- Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts.
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
- Perform Security Testing.
